The hike to Roy's Peak is not for the faint of heart and carrying a full pack does not help. But it taught me a good lesson. It's not about the time it takes, it's about making progress towards something.

Shwedagon Pagoda is the central and most famous Buddhist temple in Yangon, Myanmar. From anywhere in the city this amazing pagoda can be seen as it towers above the city. During my morning visit the temple was so calm and peaceful. Monks and locals made their walk around this 60 tons of gold and began their morning rituals.

It took 3 attempts to capture this amazing sunrise and the first day ended up being the best one. I don't regret a single minute spent at this amazing temple. It's hard to wrap my head around the scale and the work that must have went into making it. And this is just one of many in this massive complex. I don't believe anything these days could stand the test of time like these temples have.
Mu Cang Chai, Vietnam may be the best kept secret in all of Vietnam. It is untouched by tourism and it's like you step back in time. I had this feeling that I was entering a sacred village that had no contact to the outside world. Every man, woman, and child I encountered seemed so curious and so happy that I was there.
